View type

4 min read

If you select this option, you can specify the view to be shown. You can display any view you have previously designed. For best results, use a window with the same resolution or at least the same aspect ratio as your active area.

16.4.1

  • TIP: If you specify the option “Previous View,” open command will jump back to previously open view.

Parametric View type

If you select this option, you can specify the parametric view to be shown. You can display any view you have previously designed.

16.4.2

Aside from the Parametric View name, you can also specify the Indexes and Connection indexes.

For more details on how to deal with parametric views, please see chapter Parametric Views.

Document type

You can show .pdf document inside view, the document can be linked from userFiles, userData and from URL (As an example from FTP to save data storage on device)

You can adjust zoom etc…

16.4.3

Select a PDF document. You can also specify on which page to open the document.

Alarms type

This feature can show online alarms and alarm history. There are several parameters you can use to set up the specific visual appearance of the alarm table that will be shown. You can also adjust columns size in preview (It will open up the preview, here you can adjust columns size and press “OK” this will apply columns size when the online alarm is opened using this open command).

Inside parameters, you can adjust which columns you want to be displayed (You can just display the most important columns for the current user or filter out data by severity)

16.4.4

  • For an open command for history alarms, you can select/set the custom time range.
  • Preview allows you to adjust columns size by simply dragging it in preview and pressing “SAVE” size of columns will be then applied in HMI every time data-log is opened with this open command.

Example on showing filtered Alarm data

Suppose you want to show the alarm table on the screen, but only show data in respect to the given view.

1. Create alarm definitions in CAS Alarm Windows. To designate which alarms belong to the view you plan to show, specify the name of the view in the Area column.

16.4.6

2. Create a new view and insert a button.

3. On the button set up an on click open command.

16.4.7

4. Set up data filter as follows:

16.4.8

5. Test your view

Advanced Trend type

You can show trends, as defined in the Advanced Trends section. The size of the trend is automatically adjusted to the size of the view.

16.4.9

  • Toolbars allow you to hide top and bottom toolbar of advanced trend
  • Time interval gives you option to specify live data (If you set there 5min it will display live data from last 5 mins).
  • Visuals allow you to adjust/personalize advanced trend

Data-log View type

You can show a data-log view, as defined in the Data-log section. The size of the data-log view will be automatically adjusted to the size of the view.

16.4.11

  • Toolbars allow you to hide top and bottom toolbar of advanced trend
  • Time interval gives you the option to specify live data (If you set there 5min it will display live data from last 5 mins).
  • Preview allows you to adjust columns size by simply dragging it in preview and pressing “SAVE” size of columns will be then applied in HMI every time data-log is opened with this open command
  • Selecting specified data-log allows you to use filter options

16.14.12

User Actions type

You can show the history of all user actions. The size of the user actions view will be automatically adjusted to the size of the view.

16.4.16

  • Toolbars allow you to hide top and bottom toolbar of advanced trend
  • Time interval gives you the option to specify live data (If you set there 5min it will display live data from last 5 mins).
  • Preview allows you to adjust columns size by simply dragging it in preview and pressing “SAVE” size of columns will be then applied in HMI every time data-log is opened with this open command.
  • Filters allow you to specify filter (As an example if you want to see just specific groups or specific user levels).
