The new release of myPRO and myDESIGNER is a major upgrade focused on security, performance, and developer experience. Security was the top priority, with updated libraries, a move to Java 24, and extensive code refactoring to improve stability, speed, and protection against cyber threats.
A key visible improvement is the redesigned code editor powered by the Monaco engine (used by Visual Studio Code), offering a faster, more modern, and more productive coding experience. Overall, the release represents a significant evolution that makes industrial automation projects more secure, efficient, and user-friendly.
mySCADA Manager also introduces a new secure user login system designed for industrial and SCADA environments. It enforces truly strong passwords using an attacker-inspired strength evaluation instead of outdated rules, significantly improving protection against brute-force and credential-stuffing attacks. The system also adds optional offline-capable two-factor authentication (TOTP), compatible with standard authenticator apps and ideal for isolated or air-gapped networks. Overall, the new login system strengthens identity security while remaining fully usable in offline, long-lived, and high-availability industrial systems.
mySCADA now integrates Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), setting a new security standard for industrial automation and SCADA systems. Because these systems often run for decades, data encrypted today must remain safe even against future quantum attacks. By adopting PQC early, mySCADA protects against “harvest now, decrypt later” threats, supports long-term compliance, and aligns with the security roadmaps of leading banks and governments. The update preserves real-time performance, provides crypto-agility for future standards, and positions DataTalk as a future-proof, cyber-resilient industrial platform.
