Power Requirements

myBOX is designed to operate over a stable power supply. If used in the machinery which is regularly switched off, we strongly recommend using the UPS to keep the myBOX running. Extended power cycling will shorten the RTC battery life and can result in unexpected data logging errors.

RTC battery

Time in myBOX is backed up by the RTC battery. This battery is designed to overcome short-time electricity drops (1hour/week). Overall battery backup time depends on the environmental conditions where the myBOX is operated. Extended temperatures (above 30 degrees) will significantly shorten the battery backup time.
